The Blockchain Users Group (BUG) provides a hub for users, practitioners and developers to exchange knowledge on how to maximize blockchain technology to achieve business success. The BUG is dedicated to the delivery of member-driven education and networking to help the BUG community CONNECT, LEARN & GROW.
Who we are
The BUG is a global not for profit organization formed under the Internal Revenue Service of the United States as a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. The BUG is organized exclusively for educational purposes. No part of the BUG’s net earnings may benefit of any individual.
There are three officers of the BUG: John Verdon - President, Mike Holland - Treasurer and Pam Mueller - Secretary.
The BUG Field Leadership Team is comprised of Executive Directors assigned to each continent. Each Executive Director then is responsible to organize their continent the way that makes most sense for that continent with respect to language and geopolitical issues.
- Meeting Schedule – Meeting shall be held on a regular monthly basis or as necessary. Attendance at monthly meetings is open to the general membership and is required for the BUG Officers. Executive Directors of the continents will either personally attend or send a proxy in their place.
- Meeting Agenda – The Officer assigned to that month’s meeting shall prepare an agenda of meeting items submitted by members or other constituencies (sponsors or other immediate relevant happenings). Standing agenda items should include the following:
- Member announcements
- Status of BUG
- Relevant news
- Agendas will be posted on the website at least 3 business days prior to the regularly scheduled meeting. Topics not requiring any BUG action may be added to the agenda at the time of the meeting.
- Meeting Minutes – The Secretary will ensure that meeting minutes are prepared and posted to the website prior to the next scheduled meeting.
